Holy Cow the Atlantic is Huge!

Hello Sideshow Cast and Showmen!

As our ship departs the Spanish coast and steams across the Atlantic, we're excited to announce that all of our UK and EU backers have been fulfilled. Big thanks to our fulfillment partner Collext who helped organize that effort. If you are lucky enough to already have a copy of Sideshow Swap!, please become a fan on Board Game Geek, and rate the game -- It makes a world of difference to independent game makers like us here at Cannonball Arcade.

For the USA and rest of the world

We've been tracking the ol' girl carrying our game, and we're excited to report that the voyage is about half way over with most of the stops out of the way -- China, to Taiwan, to Vietnam, to Singapore, past Sri Lanka and India, into the Red Sea and through the Suez Canal, across the Med', and finally through the Straits of Gibraltar. This bucket of bolts is cruising along at about 19.1 knots, and is among the faster cargo vessels we've seen in the area. It's headed to New York City, and then making its way to us, in Michigan. We expect the shipment to arrive here about a week into March, then we'll be shipping to the rest of you. Individual shipment times varying by country, but we expect all copies delivered to backers in March.

The ‘Show is coming!

We're beyond excited to announce that Sideshow Swap! has hit the open water! Through a series of interconnected and intricate deals involving regional order quantities, we were able to get all of the copies out of port before Chinese New Year.  This is big, because we were facing a several week delay as the manufacturer (and all the rest of China) observers their holiday period. At the end of the day, we ended up splitting our shipments into two loads--one for the UK/EU and one for the rest of the world--and low an behold, copies have already reached our UK fulfillment partner! Labels are being created and you lucky dogs will be receiving your games soon!

For the US and rest of the world, we’re going to have to wait just a bit longer. Ideally we wouldn't have such a lag between one region and the rest of the world (including our home country), but that’s the spot we’re in. We can assure you that we’re obsessively tracking the cargo ship that holds the rest of the copies as it makes its way us. Once it gets here and we get our hot little hands on the goods, we’ll fulfill the US, Canada, Mexico, South America and Oceania as quickly as possible. 

For us here at Cannonball Arcade, this is an enormous achievement.  We appreciate your patience and continued excitement, and we can't wait for this game to make your game night table.

We will keep you posted on the rest of the fulfillment, as well as any other news that comes out. Expect February to be mostly quiet as the ship crosses the deep blue yonder.

Updates: Printed and Shipping

Printing update for Sideshow Swap! backers - 

It's gorgeous!

We hit a big milestone in creating Sideshow Swap! today, in that we approved the final MPC (manufacturer's proof copy).  All the copies are printed, and they assembled and sent us one as final check.  Now that we've approved it, I imagine it'll take a couple of days for them to get the rest assembled and shrink wrapped, then they'll be on a boat (or a plane for EU backers) and headed to fulfillment centers.  In the meantime, here's our unboxing video showing the Sideshow Swap! BackerKit

There are still a couple outstanding surveys, so if you haven't completed it, please do so.  Over the next few days, we'll review every order to make sure the shipping credits have been accurately applied, then we'll charge cards.  

Shipping

We'll do our best to keep everyone updated about the dates of when fulfillment is expected, but as of right now, I think EU backers will get the first copies, then North America, South America, and the rest of the world.  We're waiting on the final dates, but at this point, I would be very surprised if you all didn't have copies next month (we've been wrong before with shipping stuff, I just don't think there are too many hurdles that could cause that date to be significantly off.)

Surveys Due - Production in Full Swing!

Heeeellllllllllllllllllllooooo Cast and Showmen!

We've all been waiting a long time for the debut of Sideshow Swap!, and we're happy to report that the game is in production and we're on track to receive our final production proof just after the holidays! Once we look it over and it's good, they'll throw all the copies on a boat and send them to our distribution centers. In order to minimize delays getting you your copy once the production run (and shipping to us) is complete, we want to make sure all the surveys are completed by Dec 30th. We've sent out reminders to those who haven't done this yet, so if that's you, take a few minutes to fill it out. Look for an email from Backerkit on behalf of Cannonball Arcade (that's us!) with "Reminder -- Response needed to deliver your reward" in the subject line. If you can't find the survey, direct message us and we'll gladly send you a personalized link.

A couple things to remember:

• This is your last chance to upgrade your order or add additional copies at the discounted price (20% below MSRP).
• Before we charge credit cards, we will look at every order and add shipping credits depending on your address where appropriate - for those of you that completed your survey prior to Nov 1, you will see credits applied already. Please direct message us with questions.
• If you are in the Metro-Detroit area, we will setup a couple of events where you can pick up your copy locally and pay NO shipping cost. For this, you need to select "Local Pickup" on the "Getting Started" screen and "Local Pickup" for Country on Step 3. It's weird, but that's how it works. If you are having trouble setting this option, direct message us and we can do it for you.

We're really happy with the quality and feel of all of the components. It's nearly perfect. We made a couple minor adjustments to ensure this comes out just right and we know you'll love it!

Overseas Shipping Cost Update!

Regarding EU / UK / Oceania Shipping, we were surprised at how the costs crept up for the Showman bundles and have been working hard since to get this as low as possible. It was never out intention to make money from shipping, and we are happy to announce we made a deal to save between $5-10 for each order.  

For those of you who have completed your BackerKit survey, we credited your BackerKit accounts with the savings.  

For those of you who have NOT completed your BackerKit survey, we will check once the survey is in, but before we lock to ensure you get the savings too.

If you have any questions, feel free to message us.  We will double-check all orders before we lock to make sure no one misses the savings.

Timeline Status

We've been in communication with our manufacturer and they've let us know that unfortunately we got stuck behind a massive order. They promised us they are going to do their best to get the run of Sideshow Swap! games produced as soon as possible, but it's now likely that our game won't be on the boat before Chinese New Year. We are in constant communication with them and will let you know more as we do.
